Customers Knives

Custom made chefs knife for a farthers day gift.

Chad Nichols Damascus steel blade

Desert ironwood handle scales with mosaic pins

Brass bolsters

Given by customer to have some mods done.

It was very unbalanced, handle heavy. So scales were removed.

Tang area was annealed and “speed holes” drilled to lighten the tang end, custom filed micarta scales and a polished bevel.

A nice Tojiro Nakiri style blade and Chefs knife.

The Nakiri had a quick dip in the etching bath to bring out

the pattern along the blades edge and then a polished back bevel, gives it some nice contraast.

This one is owned by a sergeant in the Australian defence force. As you can see it has a bit of wear on the coating and

before we cleaned this one up it was in fairly rough shape.

The bevel was very chipped, but it was still holding an edge and it had a fair bit of gunk around and under the scales. So it was cleaned up and orders were to thin the blade behind the cutting edge a convex bevel. Sir yes Sir!

A before and after of a damaged edge.

Chipped before, hair popping sharp after.
